About the Hurley Sales team

At Hurley, Sales is more than generating revenue. It's also about merchandising, product development and visual merchandising and other essential business functions which support our growth. We're driven by curiosity, discipline and passion. This position is hired under Hurley Japan and the office is in same location as Nike Japan.

About the role

As Senior Sales Representative, you'll play a significant role in supporting the Hurley vision. You'll interface with the leadership team, prepare strategic planning and execute efficiently. You'll collaborate with account and key stakeholders to develop and manage the top-line financial plan for your accounts across categories. This role will require some travel to Hurley World Headquarters in Costa Mesa, California.

Responsibilities

  1. Drive revenue growth among existing customers to achieve account targets throughout Japan.

  2. Acquisition of new channels.

  3. Sales activity at quarterly trade shows, as well as periodic customer visits and calls.

  4. Manage and seek closer alliance with owned stores, franchised store managers and analyse sell-through data to present to leadership team and Hurley World Headquarters.

  5. Market research on the surf industry and regional analysis of store locations.

  6. Support product development through information sharing with the Merchandising team and determine product lines by account/channel.

Requirements

  • Bachelors' degree.

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Sales in a fashion/apparel or sports related brand.

  • Proficiency in Excel and Power Point highly preferred. Drivers' License also a plus.

  • Store management and/or wholesale experience.

  • Fluency in Japanese and business level proficiency (TOEIC 750+) English required.

  • Genuine interest in surf and skate culture highly preferred.
