ABOUT THE ROLE:
As the Operations Accounting Senior Accountant for Nike Trading Company B.V. and Nike Global Trading B.V. in Singapore, you will be responsible for managing the global Inter-company and Inventory accounting activities for the buy/sell operations of the Nike Trading Companies. To that end, you'll,
Be responsible for the global intercompany accounting processes, including validation of product billings completeness, perform various intercompany chargeback entries, intercompany revenue accrual, intercompany revenue revaluation to standard rates, and intercompany gross margin analysis
Be responsible for inventory accounting processes for late inventory receipts review, and perform intercompany COGS accrual and PPV analysis
Be responsible for UK VAT accounting processes which include performing accounting entries and reconciliation arising from importer of record and intercompany sales transactions
Perform FX accounting entries and analysis for manual revaluation entries relating to intercompany chargeback transactions and FX gain/loss analysis
Provide timely pre-close review analysis and explanations for BSPL Flux analysis during period-end close.
Manage communication of Intercompany Markup changes
Partnering Support/Process Improvement
Partner with various stakeholders including Corporate Accounting, Geo Tax, Global Treasury, Nike Geography/Country Finance and Accounting teams to support business requirements
Maintain integrity of financial statements and compliance with US GAAP and statutory reporting requirements through performing healthchecks, enabling process improvements and documentation of processes and SOP to meet internal control and reporting requirements
Requirements for this position include -
Professional qualification i.e ISCA/ACCA/Degree holder in Accountancy with 3-5 years of relevant experience
Related experience gained with MNCs in consumer products preferred
Ability to work collaboratively with multi-cultural business partners and cross-functional teams
Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with great amount of ambiguity and embracing changes for team success
Hands-on experience in SAP FI/CO and MM modules is a MUST
Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Word, and Outlook
