The Localization QA Manager will be responsible for monitoring quality standards in our continuous delivery pipeline, supporting testing, and reporting. You will co-own the quality program with the lead in Europe and the related territory language specialists. You will do this with through a hands-on approach to program improvement through data insights, ensuring successful execution of testing, linguistic asset management, evaluating key quality metrics in our continuous delivery pipeline and reacting smartly when business needs or priorities shift.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily localizationQA process - bridging the work of internal Nike stakeholders (global, geographiesand territories) with global suppliers.

  • Oversee quality reporting.

  • Combine a passion for data andlinguistics to produce actionable insights that make a difference.

  • Be a champion for localizationexcellence and linguistic quality.

  • Manage Nike’s terminology andtranslation memory strategy.

  • Coordinate external andinternal QA resources.

  • Ensure the highest localizationstandards are observed across all digital content and products.

  • Review/assess the overallquality and accuracy in localization in order to identify opportunities forimprovement and optimization.

  • Lead/drive weekly read andreact meetings with vendors.

  • Provide innovative thinkingaround scalable solutions and operational workflows to continuously improve theLQA program.

  • Build and maintainrelationships with key internal and external localization stakeholders andsuppliers.

  • Analyze delivery metrics toidentify trends, diagnose issues and reinforce quality standards via glossaryterminology, style guides, etc.

  • Effectively communicate project updates cross-functionally

Qualifications

Requirements for this position include:

  • Bachelor’s degree inlanguage/linguistics and/or +5 years relevant LQA experience, preferably in anoutsourced environment or agency.

  • Proven track recordof managing and implementing Quality Assurance methodologies.

  • Passion fordeveloping content scoring and testing plans, assessing risks, and using bigdata to optimize QA.

  • Hands on experience managing translationmemories and glossaries will be highly valued, particularly if in a cloud basedTMS.

  • Familiarity with industry LQAmodels, standards and best practices.

  • Experience managing QA for MTworkflows will be valued.

  • Adaptability and resiliency toquick changes in priorities, technology, tools and workflow.

  • Excellent verbal and writtencommunication skills.

  • Attention to detail,organization, problem-solving, analytical and multitasking skills.

  • Self-starter, quick-learner,detail-oriented, quality-focused and proactive.

  • Ability to excel in a dynamic workenvironment, prioritizing tasks appropriately and showing flexibility.

  • Ability to work in both agile and waterfallenvironments.

  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to supportcross-functional and remote team collaboration.
