Description

As our Associate Innovator in cushioning you will work closely with our design team, simulation team, project managers and other innovators to invent, evaluate, understand, develop and improve Nike’s Cushioning Technologies and the processes by which they are made. You will be expected to learn how to setup and run complex machinery to further our ability to create great new cushioning systems that help the athlete excel. You will inform project teams on topics related to the product creation processes. You will be responsible for completing initial product runs to prove out new concepts and manufacturing methods. You will operate plastics processing equipment such as thermoformers, radio frequency welders, injection molders, robotic apparatus, laser welders and a variety of other equipment in a manufacturing like laboratory setting. You will primarily work on R&D projects proving out new product concepts and manufacturing methods.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in STEM field and 0-1 years relevant work experience

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Good communication and problem-solving skills

  • Demonstrated creative entrepreneurial innovation aptitude desired

  • Understands US and metric units of measurement for pressure, temperature, length etc
