Description

As an Equipment Designer I for Nike’s Global Football Category, you will be tasked with designing equipment that is integral to the performance of the Nike Global Football athlete. We are looking for candidates who bring an innovative eye to equipment design and are fascinated by finding ways to take our existing product assortment to the next level. The ideal candidate brings a relentless curiosity and a passion for driving product forward by using next-level problem solving. This person must be able to work comfortably alongside design leadership and category team members, while also communicating with development and merchandising to ensure the feasibility of designs. This opportunity also involves proactively following the execution of all product details, including fabrication, color, graphic applications, style, detail, construction, form, and fit requirements.

What You Do:

  • Design product that reflects an understanding of your core consumer and its intended use

  • Create designs that reflect a solid understanding of garment construction, fit, color, textures, human factors, manufacturing restrictions and form

  • Design with a passion for innovation

  • Work between cross-functional teams (manufacturing, sustainability, merchandising, marketing –just to name a few)

  • Base design on consumer and/or athlete research

  • Clearly communicate your design and opinion

Qualifications

What you Bring:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design or Product Design

  • 3+ years of relevant product or industrial design work experience

  • Experience in 3D design programs

  • A clean, performance-driven aesthetic

  • An excellent, concise portfolio exemplifying your creative process and finished product

  • Drive and a point of view

  • Experience working collaboratively with a team and senior leadership
