Description

As the Director of North America Marketplace & Revenue Accounting, you will be key to delivering our top functional priorities to enable the strategic and operational objectives of the geography:

•Elevate our people, processes, and tools across the Consumer Direct Offense with sharp focus on contributing insight to opportunities for measurable financial benefits; informing/enabling new business models; and defining clear linkage of the judgmental marketplace reserves to the business and financial plan and viability of the plan through management of demand and supply.

•Drive cross finance and ops connectivity through: a streamlined controlling engagement model; alignment of close & report roles and responsibilities across finance functions; and education of controlling to partners and education of the business to controlling.

•Minimize surprises resulting from misaligned accounting in budget/forecast/actuals.

Key Responsibilities:

•Design, implement and own effective controls to manage financial reporting risk across the geography order to cash processes

•Drive financial risk optimization within marketplace strategy and operations

•Deploy revenue and marketplace related accounting policies

•Deliver standardized, scalable and controlled revenue & receivable accounting processes and transactions aligned with global policies

•Provide timely accounting positions, financial insights and operational considerations to enable informed decision making

• Proactively partner across functions to enhance marketplace intelligence, support NIKE’s strategy development, and optimize strategy execution

•Run a collaborative, agile and strategic team

•Invest and develop our team’s functional, commercial and leadership expertise

Qualifications

•Highly developed leadership, communication and influencing skills.

•Ability to build networks, influence others and effectively address audiences of all levels.

•Ability to effectively navigate internal corporate framework and provide credible and consultative guidance toward intended outcomes.

•Strong business acumen, with proven accounting skills in terms of GAAP and best practice financial controls and reporting.

•Ability to review, analyze and interpret complex data and business transactions and related accounting guidance and form relevant conclusions.

•Ability to express ideas and opinions to all levels of personnel, including management in various business units, while effectively soliciting cooperation to accomplish tasks and challenge ideas and the status quo.

•Ability to analyze, design, implement and improve cross-functional business and internal control processes.

•Strong understanding of SEC reporting, SOX, and external and internal audit processes and ability to work effectively to research, interpret and resolve accounting, internal control and audit issues.

•Bachelor's Degree required in Accounting; Master's Degree preferred.

•CPA required
