Description

As Brand Marketing Paralegal, you will provide overall legal support to a team of attorneys in the Nike Direct & Brand Marketing Legal team. You will be responsible for drafting and negotiating various commercial agreements for Brand Marketing teams, including NDAs, agency, production, design, entertainment, creative services, licensing and other services agreements. You will drive the Legal support for Nike’s promotions, contests and sweepstakes and other special projects. You will provide strategic counseling to business stakeholders and prepare and deliver trainings to enhance compliance. You’ll work on a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment and engage with cross-functional teammates and various business groups.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required

  • A minimum 3-5 years’ experience as a paralegal, preferably in a large law firm or Fortune 500 company

  • Demonstrated experience drafting and negotiating a high volume of agreements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including a demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels

  • Bias for action and ability to work independently within a multinational organization

  • Excellent judgement and organizational skills, with a proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and complete tasks accurately, on schedule and with minimal supervision.

  • Strong team player and ability to work cross-functionally in a complex organizational structure

  • Demonstrated ability to learn business requirements quickly, analyze legal and commercial risks and propose creative, business-oriented solutions

  • Ability to successfully create and implement process in organizations

  • Proficient computer skills

  • Flexibility and willingness to take on new tasks in new or unfamiliar areas of the law

  • Proficient legal research and analysis skills

  • Experience drafting terms for promotions, contests and sweepstakes a plus

  • Paralegal certificate a plus

  • International experience a plus
