As the Asia Pacific and Latin America Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining an accounting model and effective control environment for selling, general and administrative (SG&A) expenses for the Asia Pacific and Latin America (APLA) Geography. Our long-term growth agenda and dynamic business requires new capabilities, processes, and systems to ensure the financial accuracy of SG&A expenses and related accrued liabilities and to drive end-to-end processes on a consistent and global basis. You’ll be engaging and partnering with Marketing, Sports Marketing, IT, HR, and Financial Planning to understand the underlying business transactions that will allow you to advise on the accounting and financial impacts of contracts and transactions.

As the Asia Pacific and Latin America Headquarters Accountant you will play a critical role in executing the monthly accounting close and assisting with cost management across all functions at the Asia Pacific and Latin America Headquarters (“APLAHQ”).

This role’s responsibilities include:

  • Partnership with all APLAHQ functions such as Sales, Marketing, Operations, General Management, Finance, HR and IT to assure that transactions and initiatives are accounted for completely and accurately in the correct accounting period.

  • Timely execution and accurate close of the APLAHQ financial books on a monthly basis.

  • Maintain the integrity of the Asia Pacific and Latin America HQ financial results in compliance with US GAAP.

  • Provide analysis and insight on APLAHQ cost centers to effectively manage costs.

  • Provide cost center reporting and information to functional directors to enable effective decision-making.

  • Create and compile APLA’s quarterly financial reporting deliverables

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

  • 4 - 6 years experience in finance and accounting, preferably with a multi-national Fortune 500 company or CPA firm.

  • Demonstrated understanding of US GAAP

  • Proven ability to seek information and solve problems.

  • SAP experience preferred

  • CPA is preferred

  • Experience with international transactions in a large, multi-national consumer products company.

  • Enthusiasm for working in a diverse, fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

Qualifications
