As our East DTC Brand Manager for Nike Direct, you'll join an exciting team dedicated to developing and implementing Nike brand initiatives and sport moments to the consumer at our Nike Direct doors. You will be responsible for balancing the art + science of storytelling, delivering best in class retail experiences, and serving our most engaged consumers (nike+ members). You'll execute on the brand strategy and manage all details of program execution, including consumer activations, sport moments, shopping events, product seeding and inspiring our in-store team

Accountabilities:

  • Develop seasonal strategies for NYC’s must-win doors through an intentional omnichannel approach: strategies that drive active members to NikeDirect doors, acquires + retains Nike+ members

  • Elevate DTC Brand in NYC and the East Coast by developing consumer events and activations that drives premium brand experiences for our consumers instore

  • Work cross functionally with Category Brand teams, Retail Brand and Visual Presentation, DTC Store Operations and Merchandising to ensure a seamless execution at retail upon launch

  • Leads development of briefs and budgets for event agencies, in partnership with Live Experience team

  • Proactively partner with Membership, GCK, and Consumer Insights to capture consumer first, data driven retail insights and apply those to plans

  • Work with the NYC brand category teams to develop the vision and brief in agencies on the work from start to finish

  • Have a keen understanding of the retail consumer journey, connecting brand, digital, social, and events in the overall journey

  • Provide territory and consumer insights into the briefing process to develop a sharp plan and execution.

  • Lead NYC liaison with North America DTC, IRM, and category teams

  • Communicate consumer and marketplace needs and insights to North America

  • Communicate successes and share learnings to further enhance our use of best practices

  • Monitor territory execution, facilitate feedback process with Geo RB team and provide recaps

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field

  • Minimum 4 years' experience in brand marketing, events and retail brand.

  • Additional 2 years experience in lieu of degree

  • Confident knowledge of Nike and the respective consumer culture

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including meeting facilitation skills and the confidence to give presentations

  • Champion and embrace change – lead and manage transition while exhibiting flexibility and patience

  • Communicates effectively – requires strong ability to communicate across multiple levels of the organization

  • Creates the future – thinks creatively and recognizes new opportunities for the business – communicates ideas and plans for the future. Drives a shared vision.

  • Cross-functional integrated marketing experience, strong background in Omni-Channel approach.

  • Experience in developing marketing and event plans.

  • Ability to clearly articulate goals and objectives

  • Ability to understand challenges or underlying concerns, share ideas and develop effective responses or elevate to higher management

  • Retail experience is preferred
