Description

Nike Russia is looking for Retail planner to work with one of the strategic accounts and biggest Sporting goods retailer in Russia – Sportmaster. As a Retail Planner, you will be responsible for Assortment Planning targeted to maximize mutual profitability for both Nike and Account. As a part of Integrated account team Retail Planner will collaborate with Buying Department of Sportmaster, lead joint projects and search for extra opportunities through efficient Assortment Planning.

Responsibilities:

  • Forecast appropriate style, color, store cluster level investment quantities;

  • In-season / post-season retail sales and inventory analysis on style/color/category;

  • Search for opportunities and highlight the risks if any though Assortment planning;

  • Lead joint projects on Assortment planning, coordinate business processes and workflows between internal and external stakeholders, collaborate with other departments on new IT-solutions;

  • Influencing cross functional team members and collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure that Account has the right product in the right quantity to meet consumer demand;

  • Supporting the development of multi-category planning strategy across multiple product types: Apparel, Footwear, and Equipment.

  • Developing seasonal direction for sales, option and inventory management and leading post launch in-season trading to deliver and exceed seasonal targets for product revenue and profitability;

  • Communicating planning strategies, vision, and business results to cross functional and category business partners.

  • Communicating daily with planning management to share business updates and lead integration of planning with the buying processes and allocation team.

  • Contribute to Driver based seasonal planning for the Account;

  • Share and develop value adding planning & analytic tools/best practices with Sales account team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s / Master / MBA degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Inventory Management or a related field

  • 5+ years’ experience in Assortment Planning or Merchandising, experience with other apparel / footwear wholesale organization is preferred;

  • 1 years of additional experience in Sales;

  • Ability to create monthly reports, style-level sales plans, track promotional calendar/events and pre-meeting prep;

  • Strong and demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and influence others

  • Experience in developing an understanding of customers, competitors and retail trends; knowledge of sports apparel and footwear market preferred

  • Advanced knowledge of MS office applications; proficiency in Excel including creating spreadsheets, complex formulas, pivot tables, etc.

  • Experience with planning software/tools and merchandise management systems is preferred

  • Ability to work in a matrix environment with multiple business functions

  • Strong team player and ability to work with the cross functional partners and senior management on all aspects of the business

  • Fluency in English & Russian
