Description

As our Territory Manager you will lead and manage the Nike Brand. You’ll establish Nike TEAM as the premier Brand within the TEAM industry. You will be the Marketplace Expert. Your #1 priority is to grow Nike Marketshare by identifying leads and providing future opportunities for the Nike Brand. We win with service. You will provide service to TEAM accounts, high schools, colleges, and club sports. You will provide elite service to your assigned territory through regularly scheduled market visits which will include, in school visits, product presentations to key partners and accounts.

You’ll build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers. You’ll demonstrate leadership through industry participation and establish credibility as a knowledgeable resource on category trends, industry developments, and the Nike Brand. You’ll track Marketshare growth, manage uniform orders, handle logistic issues, and other operational tactics on a day to day basis. You’ll problem solve. You’ll travel to sales meetings, specialty trade shows, and travel throughout your territory.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or equivalent, or 2 years’ additional relevant experience in lieu of a degree

  • 3+ years’ experience in the athletic industry (sales, product, team/institutional industry, planning, buying, or retail management)

  • 2+ years’ field sales experience

  • Understanding of sports marketing and brand management is preferred

  • Passion for and an understanding of team sports

  • Strong knowledge of the athletic industry and trends in the marketplace

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint

  • Licensed and/or team uniform product experience is strongly preferred

  • Team/institutional industry experience is strongly preferred

  • Solid understanding of the competitive market, customers and retail trends

  • Ability to use financial data to make decisions and maximize account profitability

  • Ability to develop accurate/realistic seasonal assortments, forecasts and scenario plans

  • Ability to guide and coach customers

  • Leadership qualities and ability to work as a team player

  • Good communication and persuasion skills
