ER Specialist – EMEA West (UK & Ireland)

London, Full Time

We are looking for a driven and hardworking Employee Relations (ER) specialist with a solid background in ER to help support and develop a motivated, diverse and engaged workforce across the Retail and Wholesale UK & Ireland employee base.

As our ER Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring fair and consistent delivery of Nike policies and procedures, promoting and maintaining employee well-being, whilst minimising risk and maintaining compliance. You will work proactively to educate employees and managers, enabling them to make decisions which produce a fair and consistent employment experience throughout the organisation.

Responsibilities :

  • Provide problem resolution and coaching support to business leaders and employees throughout the performance management and disciplinary action process.

  • Support all ER activity including disciplinaries, grievances, performance management, absence, appeals, Occupational Health, and any other associated ER activity.

  • Conduct internal fact-finding investigations into employee complaints.

  • Ensure business leaders and managers are up to date on legal and HR best practice knowledge.

  • Work in partnership with the HR Team and business functions, to identify ER trends and recommend proactive interventions to minimise risk.

  • Develop procedures, processes and guidance notes in relation to areas of ER and work collaboratively with colleagues across HR to support the introduction of new or revised ER policies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR or related field.

  • At least 2 years of relevant ER work experience (retail experience would be hugely advantageous but not essential)

  • Up to date UK employment law and best practice HR knowledge.

  • Experience in Employee or Labour Relations preferred.

  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in high stress situations.

  • Ability to assess situations and identify appropriate responses effectively and efficiently.

  • Ability to work with remote locations.

  • A passion for Sport and Nike is a must.
