Description

Nike is looking for a Project Manager One NSP. In this role you work in partnership with internal and external groups to develop and implement service solutions that improve the consumer and commercial experience, optimize profitability and reduce lead times.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Business Expertise/Delivering Solutions: Works with the business team members to ensure relevant feedback from the consumer/customer is included for process improvement. Anticipates and interprets business challenges and recommends improvements to processes or services. Takes a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions. Completes and presents benefit cases upon project completion.

• Planning/Scope Management: Works with project sponsors and customers to define business benefits, requirements, and scope. Manages change control and its impacts to time, cost, and quality.

• Time Management: Defines project schedules, manages task assignments, and tracks work against timelines to ensure timely implementations.

• Quality/Process Management: Leverages Nike’s standard project management methodology and best practices to support operational excellence. Defines and manages project success/delivery criteria. Monitors and reports on the realization of project success against criteria set. Shares best practices.

• Cost Management: Ensures projects are aligned with business budgets. Tracks and reports actuals against forecast.

• Resource Management: Develops the resource plan, defines workstreams, and decides on needed resource skill sets (internal and external) for projects.

• Network and Governance Management: Proactively engages, informs, aligns, and facilitates key decisions with stakeholders. Demonstrates ability to work within a team, give input, negotiate, support and influence others. Sets up governance bodies as needed. Keeps abreast of market and retail environments and consumer impacts using personal contacts, knowledge, and publications. Regularly participates in workshops and meetings to build strong relationships with internal and external business partners

• Transition Management (TM): Knows and applies TM principles and methodology thorough development and application of tools, training, and communication plans/materials. Composes and distributes timely communication in support of change management activities.

• Risk Management: Analyzes projects for risk criticality, probability, and impact. Defines risk mitigation strategies and actions

Qualifications

• You have a university degree and at least 5 years project management with progressive responsibility.

• You are commercially and consumer oriented and able to think from the consumer point of view.

• You have a basic understanding of sports retail business.

• You possess strong understanding of financial concepts and profitability models.

• You possess robust analytical skills (process/data) and experience with systems (ERP, WMS, etc.) such that you know how technology can be leveraged to gain efficiencies and improve processes.

• You have experience in a multinational (European) environment and can effectively communicate and influence various levels within a matrix structure.

• You have a proven track record of delivering results (quality, time, budget) on regionally-based projects.

• You are experienced with formal project management methodologies and know how to adapt, improve, and implement that methodology in a standardized way.

• You are able to build bridges, with a positive attitude, drive and energy.

• You are strong in managing cross functional teams with multiple indirect reports. Some experience managing direct reports is a plus.

• You are a proficient in English. Local EU languages a plus.

• You have up-to- date PC (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and process mapping (Visio) skills. Database knowledge or SAP experience is a plus.

• You have the ability to travel to the Territories when needed.
