Description

At Nike, the Marketplace Operations (MPO) team takes pride in servicing the consumer in the connected marketplace – whether they shop at one of our retail partners, in a Nike store or online.

The MPO strategy & capability team supports Nike’s growth and delivers on marketplace and consumer expectations by creating reliable, efficient, fast and flexible solutions in close partnerships with our accounts/channels, and logistics/supply chain functions.

As our Marketplace Operations Development Manager, you’ll be responsible for creating the strategy and capability roadmap in support of efficient processes and premium service to Nike doors and accounts in key cities & beyond. In partnership with Nike direct, account and supply chain teams you will innovate how we operate and service, by experimenting, developing and implementing new capabilities at the speed of the business. To that end, you will

  • Ensure cross-functional engagement to create an aligned strategic capability portfolio and business case

  • Apply transition management principles and tools to ensure capabilities are adopted and sustained within the business

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and networks across the Nike Matrix and with external customers and partners

In this role you’ll have to develop and display a strong understanding of the omni-channel consumer, seamless marketplace and marketplace and supply chain operations processes. You’ll need to bring a strong retail and supply chain operations background, project management skillset and a natural curiosity to explore and solve problems that haven’t been addressed before. To be effective, you’ll possess a high degree of comfort with ambiguity, an ability to simplify the complex and communicate effectively with executive leadership. Your ability to set a vision, prioritize deliverables across a complex body of work and take a (virtual) project team along will be extremely important. Most importantly, you should be very excited about the opportunity to make a significant impact.
