Description

Nike is looking for a Category Brand Manager responsible for driving the Football and sportswear brand plan for the Distributors market.

As our Category Manager, you will lead and set the vision for the Distributors region (Middle East, Africa and Eastern Europe), in partnership with brand, functional and digital counterparts across Football and NSW categories. The role focuses on the Middle East and you will need to work closely with Nike’s Distributors to develop plans that achieve business and brand objectives.

We are looking for experienced, energetic and passionate people to join the team. To succeed in your role, you'll need to be able to combine creativity along with the organizational skills, and manage various projects at the same time.

The nature of the work is focused on creating product and brand demand, drive brand strength and strengthen consumer connections.

You will develop and execute brand and digital strategies that will maximize brand and sales goals, through the message and media that are meaningful to consumers and retailers.

The brand manager will report both to Distributors Marketing Director and Digital Territory Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Adopt,enrich and creatively execute and/or support EMEA category strategy withinlocal distributors market

  • Serve the youth of the cities and drive bothhyper local and city impact storytelling through our performance innovation andstyle storytelling.

  • Deliver seasonal plans that will driveawareness, inspiration and support the category plans.

  • Drive creative, mobile first solutions andplatforms to take our storytelling to new and unexpected places that connectwith our consumers

  • Obsess digital consumerjourney across all digital touch points(nike.com , Nike apps and wholesale.com )

  • Develop category digital brand strategy fordistributors aligned with EMEA vision and category plans.

  • Maximize our key assets, clubs, athletes and influencers bymaking them an integral part of our seasonal marketing plans.

  • Inspire,lead and challenge the virtual team in which we operate to ensure benchmarkexecution across channels. Connect the dots, make sure our plans are trulyintegrated and aligned.

  • Manage timelines and budget

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years brand and digital experience including strategy, delivery and creative thinking/idea generation experience.

  • Deep connection and understanding of the football and Sportswear consumer

  • Ability to analyze market place, consumer and trends

  • Outstanding leadership and coaching skills to lead functional teams and cross-functional projects

  • Strong understanding and insights into the digital landscape and the role that social media plays in marketing.

  • Can think through the eyes of our consumer with a clear sense of what is "cool"

  • Must be able to demonstrate ability to work with athletes and influencers

  • Strong English verbal and written communication

  • The job requires travel so the candidate must be flexible to travel.

  • Proven experience and ability to manage multiple projects at one time effectively.

  • A passion for the Nike brand, sport and lifestyle and sneakers culture.

  • An ability to influence and collaborate with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders

  • Team player
