Nike EMEA runs an offense where centrally managed Strategic Accounts are driven through an integrated account team.

As an EMEA Strategic Accounts Finance Director, you’ll play a key role in realizing the accounts’ growth potential, driving and delivering a sustained, mutually profitable business model. Being a key business partner in a x-functional, commercially focused team, you will provide insights that drive actions and impact the business. You’ll lead the financial alignment around strategic and operational goals, while ensuring we optimize our investments in the marketplace. At the same time, you are translating the business drivers into financial plans, driving forecast accuracy and managing the financials of the account in the broadest sense.

Being the Finance Director of the account, you will have to demonstrate a strategic mindset, a strong analytical skill set, an ability to “connect the dots” from various data sources and functions, and the capacity to communicate complex concepts and ideas in a simple way. To be successful,

you’ll also have proven experience as a strong leader and business partner. You will be part of the leadership team of the strategic account and a key player in the Integrated account team ensuring financial governance and expertise.

Key accountabilities include:

Financial Planning

  • Lead the planning cycles – from CSR through AOP into budget. Establish and drive the strategic and business planning process for the account from a financial perspective, integrating & aligning the x-functional strategy & goals

  • Be a key business partner in achieving the annual financial goals, including forecast accuracy, preparing timely & insightful financial analysis & optimizing business reporting, providing meaningful insights into the key drivers of the business

  • Maximize profitability at a strategic level, driving recommendations and executing high-impact opportunities to position the account appropriately

  • Be a business partner to drive sustained, mutually profitable growth by building a holistic understanding of Account & Nike profitability

  • Actively participate in developing and governing trade terms

  • Support Global and Geo financial deliverables; including quarterly business reviews, budgeting, long-range financial planning, and ad-hoc strategic projects

  • Analyze key trends, risks and opportunities and steer alignment with key Integrated Marketplace Deliverables including Key Cities and Category insights

  • Creating Team Success

  • Be the Finance Business Partner within the account team, delivering the finance agenda

  • Collaborate across functions to share as well as absorb information key to drive the overall team success

  • Collaborate across Finance team to meet key deadlines and deliverables

  • Ensure clear alignment around financial processes and tools

  • Actively seek opportunities to share business insights across the finance function and within the account teams

  • Educate your integrated account team colleagues on financial results and concepts to ensure good decision making

Qualifications

  • Degree in Business Administration/Economics, ideally with an appropriate additional qualification, e.g. MBA and/or professional accountancy qualification

  • Minimum of 8 years extensive experience in financial analysis, financial/strategic planning, accounting, and budgeting.

  • Excellent knowledge of strategic planning, budgeting, and economic profit analysis.

  • Very good financial skills and knowledge. Experience in managing a P&L.

  • Excellent English language skills

  • Strong intellect, results-oriented with a personal impact and a sense of urgency

  • High integrity, transparency, authority, confidence
