As our University Relations Lead, you will support multiple facets of Talent Acquisition. You will be responsible for creating and sustaining effective methods and processes to identify, source and hire the most qualified intern candidates to bring Converse the best available talent. You'll utilize effective recruitment methods to deliver a qualified/diverse pool of candidates to Hiring Managers in an effective and efficient manner.

The University Relations Lead will establish Converse as the employer of choice for emerging, diverse talent on college campuses through setting up informational sessions/job fairs, sourcing talent, running talent days, and executing the summer internship program and creating a college hire program.

The intended outcomes are to:

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to determine intern needs base upon critical talent needs of the business.

  • Define target metrics for intern conversion rates to FTE.

  • Deliver a premium internship program while interns are on the Converse Campus in the summer.

  • Develop relationships with local University Career Centers.

  • Engage with Campus Diversity Groups to drive a more inclusive and diverse intern pool.

Additionally, this role will assist in all TA projects including, but not limited to, Employment Branding, Vendor Management and Streamlining the Intern Hiring Process (creating caches of job descriptions, templates for hiring managers, methods for feedback collection).

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree highly preferred

  • 5+ years' full life-cycle recruiting experience OR 2+ years in University Relations: sourcing talent, assessing, screening, interviewing and salary negotiation

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects and competing priorities, while maintaining flexibility to shift priorities as needed to meet business objectives

  • Proven ability to build relationships and credibility within human resources (HR) and business partners

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Ability to present and communicate with all levels of management and academia to create strong partnerships

Preferred:

  • Experience communicating a corporate brand for the purposes of establishing and developing relationships with universities

  • 2+ years' experience building or leading an internship program

  • Experience recruiting in the collegiate, intern or MBA space

  • Experience developing communication materials for use in on-campus recruitment efforts
