Description

As Sr Manager of Pricing and Value Management on the Global Merchandising team, you will partner with the team to analyze and refine pricing for Converse’s footwear, apparel, and accessories across geographies. You’ll work directly with senior leadership in our Product and Merchandising organizations to help set and refine pricing structures that are market-competitive, consumer value-based, and financially rewarding for Converse. You’ll work with our regional merchandising leads to monitor existing pricing around the globe and recommend pricing changes based on changing consumers tastes and a constantly-evolving retail marketplace. You’ll also work closely with our product line managers to help influence pricing for new products. In addition, you will also support our Global Merchandising organization on ad-hoc projects related to value management, discounting and clearance policies, and more.

Responsibilities:

  • Pricing Monitoring and Refinement: Support our globaland regional pricing strategies by monitoring and analyzing our own and ourcompetitors’ pricing in the marketplace.Develop recommendations to alter or maintain our pricing structure basedon market and consumer factors.

  • Value Management Communication: Work closely withProduct, Merchandising, and Finance to regularly communicate howgeographic-specific pricing fits into our overall marketplace and brandpositioning while achieving our financial targets. Act as a champion forconsumer value-based pricing by ensuring our internal pricing structure islogical from a consumer stand-point and competitive in the marketplace

  • New Pricing Development: Conduct research onspecific footwear, apparel, and accessory categories to determineconsumer-right, market-backed price ranges for new products and support ourproduct briefing process with analytics

  • Process Excellence /Project Management: Drive implementation of pricing and valuemanagement projects and large-scale initiatives by applying systematic thinkingto map key priorities, milestones & deliverables

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 5-7years of relevant experience within a merchandising, project management,or strategy function, preferably at a top retail / consumer goodsorganization.

  • Exceptional problemstructuring and strategic problem-solving skills, with proven abilityto complete quantitative and qualitative analysis and financial models,related to product, consumers, industries and/or competitors

  • Demonstratedability to manage multiple projects at once, to operate with a high degreeof ambiguity and to work with a flexible schedule

  • Self-starter,with strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally atmultiple levels; visionary thinker that is able to drive sustainablechange

  • Proven experience withpreparation and delivery of executive level presentations, matching clearand concise analytics with strong story-telling
