Description

As our Account Manager, you'll oversee select Global Basketball Sports Marketing assets and be accountable for the day-to-day service of teams, events, budget administration, and product deliveries. The assets which you'll be directly responsible for will be those with the highest level of visibility and service needs. Responsibilities also include the systems & product ordering onboarding of several key business partners, financial tracking, and communication to the asset(s) and ensuring that Nike's Global Basketball Sports Marketing contractual agreements are satisfied and that the right product is received at the right place, at the right time, and within budget. You'll assist internally with communicating team needs/requirements, feedback, and overall service & relational specifics. You'll also retain oversight of all Global Basketball Sports Marketing partners servicing needs that fall within current agreements. In this role, expectations are to oversee Nike's relationship with basketball players, federations, leagues, events and ensure authentic athletic insights and presence on the court and in training to create brand visibility and excitement. Also, you'll be expected to be informed of all category specific initiatives that impact Global Basketball Sports Marketing business partners and ensure that Global Basketball Sports Marketing supports all category and brand initiatives for the mutual benefit of the shareholder and asset. In short, serve as the face of service and first point of contact of Nike to our Global Basketball Sports Marketing partners and be an expert on the product.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sports Marketing or related discipline

  • 2+ years’ experience in Sports Marketing developing and leveraging key relationships to strengthen brand strategies, demonstrating the ability conceive/create new ideas about innovated sports marketing working relationships

  • 2+ years' account or project management experience

  • Understanding of Nike products, the apparel product development process, and the sports and fitness industry

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including presentations with MS Office and the implementation high profile communication and contractual obligations

  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time

Preferred:

  • Experience navigating the Nike matrix (or another similarly structured organization) to achieve high-¬level business results for an external partner.

  • Gameday system knowledge to facilitate the best service in the industry

  • Proficient in SAP and Excel

  • True passion, understanding and interest in professional basketball

  • Ability to handle multiple time sensitive (both macro and micro) priorities and communicate bad news when necessary
