Description

As a Senior Visual Insights Analyst on the North America Marketplace Analytics team, under out Demand and Supply Management (DSM) organization, you will build data visualizations and executive level dashboards to be leveraged by business leadership and business analysts to gain insights across all aspects of the North America marketplace.

You will evolve the existing landscape of reporting and propel critical information needs through robust business and data comprehension and cross-functional partnership. In this diverse role, areas of focus include (1) developing new leadership level dashboards for daily utilization, (2) advancing the landscape of existing reporting to new reporting tools, (3) building and managing the distribution of push reporting, (4) working with engineers to communicate the data architecture required for dashboard and report design, and (5) creating self-service and ad-hoc data products for users of all levels.

This role will be vital in shaping the landscape by which NA Marketplace Analytics interacts with and leverages data, as each release broadens available data sets and expands analytics self-serve capabilities.

You are a data evangelist with plenty of hands-on development experience and a comprehensive understanding of data architecture. In your daily work, you actively seek the most effective path forward, and are insistent on progress. You are equally comfortable working in a relational data store and a “big data” cloud eco-system. You gain a sense of accomplishment through empowering reporting and analytics, are on top of business intelligence trends, and recognize the full potential of data visualization to inform business opportunities. To you, the importance of value-based solutions, incremental progress, and failing fast is clear, and you can demonstrate how each of these helps to drive business results. You will be at the heart of Nike’s critical planning business and will help the team make decisions that will drive performance and efficiencies that directly leading to the accomplishment of annual goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or other relevant areas

  • 5-7 years professional experience required

  • Advanced Tableau skills

  • Experience with large data sets, data models, and intermediate SQL skills

  • Strong presentation skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and seamlessly collaborate with engineering partners

  • Experience with big data environments preferred

  • Experience with wholesale and/or retail planning preferred

  • Experience in Agile/Scrum environment preferred
