Description

As our Nike Senior FEA Engineer in Innovation, you will be responsible for providing insight to simulation results to multiple teams. You will often be the only engineering expert on a team, so you will often be looked to provide not only simulation results, but also contribute engineering advice when needed to a multitude of subjects including: alternative material selection, design options, test method considerations, failure implications,etc. Sometimes you will need to communicate and interpret highly technical information to a diverse audience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Biomechanical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering

  • Demonstrated use of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to explore, inform and recommend engineering solutions

  • 6 to 10 years industry experience with FEA tools and methods addressing non-linear, dynamic events

  • Demonstrated understanding and product design incorporation of the mechanics of polymer materials

  • Demonstrated skills with formal and informal communication of technical information

Ideal candidate would also have experience with:

  • Hyperworksproducts such as HyperMesh and HyperView

  • ABAQUS/Explicitand/or ABAQUS/Implicit

  • Physical and mathematical characterization of complex material behavior (such as for elastomers, engineered plastics, thermoplastic elastomers, foams, or engineered fabrics)

  • Analytical optimization of product design with tools such as, but not limited to,HyperStudy or iSight

  • The science and/or engineering of biomechanics and sports- Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Biomechanical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering
