Description

Our mission in Global Retail Operations and Service Excellence (ROSE) is to make things easier for our Stores so they can invest more time with the 600 million consumers that visit Nike stores every year. As Sr. Director, Athlete and Retail Operations you will own the financial and operational strategies, processes, and tools that enable our athletes to deliver premium consumer experiences at scale, across all retail formats around the globe.

You will collaborate with Brand, Concept, Design, Technology, Finance, HR, and Strategy teams at both Global and Geo to bring programs and services to life in our stores that elevate the Consumer Experience while improving Athlete productivity and consistency on the sales floor and in the back of the house. Areas of focus include in-store Labor, Financial and Operational analytics/reporting, Work Force Management (WFM), Point of Sale (POS), Store Inventory Management (SIM), Connect the Marketplace (CTM), new retail formats and services, and inventory accuracy.

You will partner closely with the Tech team to ensure Athlete Tools function correctly. In addition, you will drive the annual business planning processes, Influencing technology and strategy roadmaps and investment planning in support of current and long-term business plans.

You will work directly with finance teams globally to help set the strategy for (and measure the execution of) Nike’s $1B labor investment.

You will partner in the creation of training materials that drive continuous improvement and establish key benchmarks and performance measures to assess operational effectiveness.

You should exhibit a proven ability to convey complex ideas in simple, effective ways that influence, inform and educate audiences at all levels in the organization. You should be very comfortable leading and influencing across the matrix, with global and geo-based teams. You'll advocate and pursue an approach for the work that reflects a total cross-functional approach rather than a narrow functional or silo approach.

You will interact with Senior Leaders across Nike, globally and within geos, to help move Nike’s retail experience forward. This will include being a fierce advocate for the 50,000 store athletes around the globe, driving repeatability, stability, and intuitiveness into everything we do, so that athletes can focus on serving consumers instead of trying to use inefficient tools/processes. Additionally, you will be required to explain complicated, detailed, and quickly changing facts to Nike’s retail leadership team in a succinct, easy to understand manner.
