Description

As a Senior Assortment Planner, you will play a critical role in unlocking the power of insights to drive Merchandising Excellence. You will partner with Category Merchants and become an expert on business trends, assortments, key markets and critical growth drivers.

Your mission is Unlock the potential of Merchandising thru the power of Science, using your analytical abilities to transform data and bring relevant information to key decision making moments in the category game plan. To do that, you must be able to exploring available data, combining quantitative and qualitative insights to see trends and opportunities and then effectively present your point of view to Merchants. An ability to tell compelling stories using data is key to effective collaboration with cross-functional teammates. We are looking for someone who leads with the facts but understands the artistic nature of merchandising. You should be an innovator who is looking to take the science side of Merchandising to the next level. You will define the assortment plan and inform global future needs for their designated category, channel and territory thru the power of the data partnering with them. This includes:

KPIs

  • You will manage and oversee Key Performance Indicators for the Asia Pacific Latin America geography across Territories, Channels and Categories and collaborate with the Merchandising leaders to drive the definition of the right metrics, strategy and analytics behind them for the geography.

High level Analytics

  • You will maintain KPI decision-support solutions and provide high-level analytics and fact-based insights to Geo Merchandising thru the lens of assortment planning.

  • Provide a suite of reports, tools and ad-hoc analysis shared on key dates to inform merchandising decisions.

  • Drive and manage product attribution and classification for APLA [KBS, Power Franchises…].

Category/Channel Strategic Partnership

  • You will provide assortment framework plans to inform fact-based merchandising decisions.

  • Serve as the Categories’ Strategic partner by providing relevant indicators to kick off each season – Pre-PRO category hand overs.

  • Lead long range line planning thru E2E line process.

  • Harmonize Geo assortment plans to inform Global on product needs.

  • Drive territory harmonization across channels through the identification of trends and other patterns in the data

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field (2 additional years’ experience may be accepted in lieu of degree )

  • 5 years of directly relevant work experience

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including meeting facilitation and presentations

  • Demonstrated experience influencing people and teams

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Advanced knowledge of MS office applications; proficiency in Excel including creating spreadsheets, complex formulas, pivot tables, etc

  • Detail oriented and self-motivated, with strong organizational skills (multi-tasking)

  • Ability to work in a matrix environment with multiple business functions

  • Strong team player and ability to work with the cross functional partners and senior management on all aspects of the business

  • Experience with planning software/tools and merchandise management systems is preferred

  • Experience with Tableau is preferred
