As a Product Owner/Technical Product Manager working within Nike Digital Engineering Finance, Tax and Accounting space, managing technology and relationships will be paramount. This position is accountable for working with Nike DTC’s finance leadership team to assess technology needs, develop a business case for investing in that technology and leading a software development team in delivering that technology for business users globally.

The ideal candidate will have technical skills and a strong sense of how automation and software development can be leveraged to improve the ability for Nike DTC’s finance teams to be strategic partners. This Product Owner will be responsible for developing a backlog based on the needs of end business users and prioritizing the features and functionality driven by defined roadmap. This position also requires close partnership with Nike Consumer Digital engineering teams.

Previous experience delivering functionality through enterprise platforms (such as SAP), as well as Java-based services, is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will have had significant previous experience delivering finance or related technology in a retail/digital setting. Ideally, this person will be comfortable with and able to articulate accounting and finance business concepts and understand the technology implications of those concepts

  • 6+ years of experience or equivalent expertise leveraging Business Analysis, Data Science, ERP or Analytics Platforms, Recommendations Systems, or similar to build practical, data-driven programs and platforms to support accounting and reporting needs that support Nike Direct strategic initiatives and journey’s.

  • Strong Finance/Direct to Consumer Background with the ability to look at consumer insights/ retail trends through a financial lens and translate them into measurable KPI’s and recommendations.

  • Big systems thinker that can take broad visions and concepts and develop structured plans, actions, and measurable metrics and then execute those plans.

  • Excellent communications skills including, presenting, editing, and writing as well as accuracy and attention to detail required.

  • Great team player with an ability to partner, lead, and influence across multiple teams and capabilities.
