Be a part of the marketing technology architecture team. We provide architectural support to the Brand Marketing, Sports Marketing, and Marketplace Development teams here at Nike. Our business partners craft how Nike shows up in the marketplace. Whether it's creating and handling the digital assets that bring the brand to life, finding the next top Nike athlete, or patrolling how and where products are presented. They're crafting a vision for the future of sport, and you'll be there to enable them through the future of technology.

You'll define technical road-maps that facilitate adoption of domain road-maps, and sets technical direction based on the needs & resources of the team. Facilitates conversations between global & geography teams that help drive global tool requirements.

As a Principal Technical Architect, you'll be on a highly transparent team, passionate about aligning strategic objectives with tactical demands. 'You will deliver solution approaches that clearly describe the different views of an architecture required for implementation. You'll partner and engage directly with the Brand Marketing team to plan, create, maintain and execute technical designs that are aligned to the roadmaps and architectural principles established by enterprise architecture.

What you'll do

  • Lead architectures for the Brand Marketing domain in partnership with delivery and engineering teams, and participate in solution optioning and recommendations.

  • Drive and facilitates the right discussions that identify business need in relation to current and future technology landscape.

  • Present recommendations and architecture direction clearly and concisely, focusing on the key points that drive value.

  • Advocate and drive adoption of winning architectural principals to ensure standardization of architecture outputs.

  • Effectively handle priorities, work you're doing, and timelines with little need for oversight.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in performing the responsibilities of architecture and technology design.

  • 7+ years combined hands-on engineering experience with public cloud, distributed computing, commercial off-the-shelf (COTS), and custom developed solutions.

  • Experience working in an environment with multiple technologies, and able to make architectural decisions across a diverse technical portfolio.

  • Experience with global technical design, including the modernization of existing applications.

  • Consistent record of communicating effectively within a complex (matrixed) organization.

  • Strong facilitation and influence skills and experience with product owner relationship, partnership and interactions.

  • Proven experience translating technical concepts and value to non-technical partners.

  • Self-starter with high motivation and passion who thrives in an ever-changing, energizing environment with the ability to adapt to change.
