Description

As our Finance Manager of Strategic Investments for Nike Direct, you will support our long term strategic and business planning processes. You will work with cross-functional teams to create and evaluate multi-year investment plans and strategies that align with Nike’s strategic business objectives.

Specifically, you will be responsible for the following areas:

  • Support the 1 and 3+ year corporate planning process and long-term financial modeling for enterprise strategic investments

  • Drive integrated investment planning (with both an Opex & Capex focus) across critical planning milestones aligned with strategic priorities and in the context of the long-term financial model

  • Develop robust financial cases with appropriate qualitative and quantitative measures of success across functions, cost centers and budgets for the Corporate strategic priorities

  • Establish total cost of ownership visibility to investments (baseline, incremental, operational)

  • Develop new investment reporting framework to better “measure what matters” and track progress against financial and operational KPI’s

  • Create functionally specific business case guidance to improve quality of submissions

  • Ensure costs & benefits of approved investments inform future planning efforts

  • Create cohesive storylines to influence and inform decisions through critical planning milestones

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related field

  • 2 years' additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

  • MBA, CPA or CMA is strongly preferred

  • Advanced level degree or accounting certification maybe considered in lieu of 1 year experience

  • 6+ years' experience in financial reporting, financial planning, strategic planning and annual budgeting

  • Demonstrated ability working with large, complex financial models

  • Experience in a Fortune 500 consumer products or other multi-national firm is preferred

  • Attention to detail in the development of quality reporting and analytics for executive-level personnel and senior management

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a large organization

  • Proven strong financial analysis skills; technical corporate finance, accounting, and valuation skills

  • Superior written and oral presentation skills; ability to communicate and present to senior management (PowerPoint proficient)

  • Strong proficiency with financial analysis tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Access

  • Problem structuring and strategic problem-solving skills

  • Experience in investment banking, management consulting, or financial planning and analysis at a large corporation is a plus

  • Ability to pass a 7-year background check
