Description

As our Finance Manager for Nike North America Brand Finance, you’ll play a key role in shaping our financial plans for the marketing organization and managing those plans throughout the year. You will manage a team of 3 finance professionals. You’ll partner with the North America VP of Marketing in resourcing against strategic business initiatives while delivering against quarterly financial targets. You will also drive long term planning processes (1 and 3-year plans) to ensure necessary funding of strategic priorities. You will be the subject matter expert on all marketing investments for the geography, including investment types, initiatives, and marketing contracts. You will also consolidate marketing investment forecasts and actuals across different groups within the geography.

  • Drivethe planning process for the North America Brand organization.

  • Providecontext across the business as to why specific investment decisions are beingprioritized over others.

  • Structureprocesses to gain alignment of key stakeholders prior to new marketingcontracts being signed.

  • SubjectMatter Expert

  • Bethe North America expert on all marketing investments for all initiatives,functions, categories, and business units.

  • Realigninvestments to key strategic priorities.

  • Manageindividual investments alongside Brand leaders, being their main point ofcontact for all items finance related.

  • Contributeto brand marketing planning sessions and share-out’s to understand changingbrand priorities

  • Influenceand Communicate Effectively

  • Effectivelycommunicate across all levels of the organization to drive alignment andprovide context for decision making.

  • Provideinsightful and actionable commentary for monthly, quarterly, yearly variances.

  • Createsimple but effective presentations to help drive decision making.

  • Influencesenior marketing leaders with competing agendas to deliver North America’sgoals.

  • Workback across different finance and accounting functions to ensure support andreporting meets the current needs of the business

  • Developstandardized metrics and reporting on profitability of marketing investments.

Qualifications

Requirements for the position include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related field is required

  • 4+ years’ experience in financial reporting, financial planning, strategic planning and annual budgeting

  • Experience in a Fortune 500 consumer products, or other multi-national firm is preferred

  • Knowledge of retail and wholesale distribution channels and related financial planning/management activities is preferred

  • Experience in financial planning and analysis or management consulting at a large corporation is a plus

  • Attention to detail in the development of management quality reporting and analytics for executive-level personnel

  • Proven strong financial analysis and modeling skills; technical corporate finance, accounting, and valuation skills

  • Problem structuring and strategic problem solving skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a large organization

  • Superior written and oral presentation skills; ability to communicate and present to senior management (PowerPoint / Keynote proficient)

  • Microsoft Excel expert

  • Experience with SAP, BPC and TM1 is preferred
