Description

As our FinanceManager – North America Direct FP&A you will be consolidating and reporting out on direct to consumer’s three channels: Nike.com, Nike Factory Stores, and Nike Stores. You will partner across the North America Direct finance team to pull together and present financial results and the story behind the numbers to the leadership team. You will also lead the long term planning and budgeting processes to ensure that NA Direct’s operating model is in line with total North America and Nike Inc.’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare and distribute timely and insightful financialanalysis, measuring progress against strategic plan, budget andforecast. Actively interpret and review financial results with theNA Direct CFO and the leadership team including trends/issues andopportunities to drive actionable results

  • Provide clear communication and direction on deliverablesand deadlines to the dimension finance teams, creating templates to gatherinformation in a consistent manner when necessary

  • Partner with the North America business planning teamto set revenue, margin, and SG&A targets for the channels

  • Coordinate and assist in leading monthly forecast andclose meetings; prepare forecast and close “packages” that provide the NADirect CFO a clear view into variances and their drivers vs. budget,forecast, and prior year

  • Deliver presentational reporting using powerpoint withan emphasis on telling the “story” behind the numbers

  • Consolidate risks and opportunities across thedimensions and communicate them to NA Direct and global leadership

  • Drive consistency and ensure that best practices are inplace across the channels for all common processes including long rangeplanning, budget, forecast, and close

  • Review reporting and presentations for accuracy and ensurethat story lines are clear and consistent with strategic priorities

  • Lead the FP&A team, establishing clear goals andobjectives; demonstrate Nike’s leadership values of coaching to lead,drive, and inspire.

  • Attention to detail in the development of managementquality reporting and analytics for executive-level personnel

  • Ability to articulate financial concepts to bothfinance and non-finance business partners in a clear and concise manner

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,including the ability to interface with and influence all levels ofmanagement

  • Enthusiastic about working in a dynamic business alongwith the passion and energy to drive results

  • Self-starter that anticipates problems, identifiesopportunities and provides creative solutions

  • Team player with a positive attitude - open to learningother areas of the business and sharing team responsibilities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or arelated field. MBA or CPApreferred.

  • 6+ years' experience in financial reporting, financialplanning, strategic planning and annual budgeting

  • Experience at a large, fortune 500 multi-channel retailcompany strongly preferred

  • Advanced Excel proficiency is required; experience withSAP is strongly preferred

Ability to pass a 7 year background check

Qualifications
