Air MI is the wholly-owned Manufacturing subsidiary of NIKE, Inc. As our Finance Director/Controller of this innovative, multi-facility manufacturer, you will be a key member of the Leadership team at our Beaverton, OR facility. This role reports to the Sr Director of Finance for the Global sourcing and manufacturing. Key responsibilities include

  • Managing the daily operations of the 10-person finance, controlling and costing teams

  • Directing and coordinating the period end (month, quarter, year) financial closing process as well as the budget and forecasting processes for the Beaverton facility, and all related consolidated financial reporting

  • Review operating results with Management and key stakeholders

  • Working cross-functionally with engineering, operations and finance/costing to execute product pricing and cost optimization efforts

  • Managing, coaching and developing finance team direct reports

  • Investment business case analyses and presentations

  • Support of major plant initiatives, including LEAN Manufacturing and measuring and driving productivity through reducing waste

  • Ensuring compliance with GAAP, and Corporate policies and procedures

  • Overseeing transactional activity including receivables and payables

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a directly related field

  • MBA is strongly preferred; CPA is a plus but not required

  • Minimum of 8 years directly relevant work experience in accounting, finance and costing

  • Strong hands-on manufacturing industry experience including product/process costing

  • Diverse experience including national or large regional public accounting firm and combination of plant-level and corporate finance preferred

  • LEAN manufacturing and accounting experience desirable

  • ERP experience preferred: in an SAP environment a plus

  • Significant experience (minimum 5 years) in managing and leading teams

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

  • Strong communication and influencing skills proven in a collaborative environment

  • Ability to pass a drug screen and a 7-year criminal background investigation

Qualifications
