As a Software Engineering Manager in Consumer Data Engineering, you'll recruit, inspire, and lead a team of talented folks working to instrument experiences, apps, services, and more throughout Nike Digital. You're still a sharp programmer and up to date with the latest technology trends, but you shape the bigger picture, effectively route information, and connect your team and your customers. You'll have a strong understanding of and know how to effectively combine data capture, digital marketing analytics, and a/b testing. You know how to turn data into actionable strategies, and want to help other teams do the same.

Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for the personal and career development of a team of engineers

  • Collaborate with product managers as part of a product team

  • Educate teams across Nike Digital in instrumentation and data capture

  • Inform and direct analytics and data capture strategy

  • 5+ years of software development experience

  • Strong skills in at one or more relevant programming languages (JS, Java, Swift, Objective-C)

  • Empathy and a strong ability to teach, learn, and listen

  • Proven engineering leadership record

  • Strong knowledge of analytics and digital marketing

  • Strong knowledge of web and/or mobile programming and frameworks
