The role of the Communications function at Nike is to establish and strengthen authentic connections with audiences around the globe, through the lens of innovation and sport. We focus on premium brand stories related to our products, categories and athletes; we manage corporate reputation and brand equity; and we engage, inspire and motivate internal and external communities.

We are seeking a Communications Designer who can help execute our Global Operations communications strategy.

The focus of the Global Operations Communications Designer role is to elevate the Global Operations narrative, engage and inspire Global Operations employees and amplify leadership messages through executing and designing materials across various print and multimedia channels.

The Global Operations Communications Designer role will require graphic design, front-end web design, video production and photography skills. With general direction, this role will use advanced design skills to create original graphic designs that appropriately reflect Nike's design ethos. They will lead ideation, concept development and branding and work independently to complete individual projects. These projects include, but are not limited to the development of print, 3-D environmental displays, event signage, logo systems & visual centers, imagery, video, web design and collateral materials. Above all, this candidate will need a passion for sports and the Swoosh.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop creative solutions and experiences that take our internal storytelling into new places to inspire Global Operations employees

  • Manage internal websites using an existing WordPress platform and partner with external agencies and vendors

  • Design internal and external presentations for senior leaders using PowerPoint or Keynote

  • Partner with team members to develop and execute communications campaigns to amplify the Global Operations narrative

  • Create branded assets for internal events including employee appreciation events, functional award shows and Brand events


  • Shoot, produce and edit videos for internal audiences

  • Photograph internal events

  • Build credible relationships with team members and business stakeholders

  • Explore new channels and ways of communication and design to engage employees

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years ofprogressively technically sophisticated graphic design experience

  • Proven ability to apply and perform graphicdesign skills including drawing/sketching, typography, ideation, color theory,use of texture, spacing, and scale, visual presentation development and layoutthat is supported by a portfolio of creative art and graphic design

  • Expert-level experience using Adobe CreativeSuite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat) and Microsoft PowerPoint orApple Keynote

  • Understanding of web design and developmentprinciples and platforms (WordPress, CSS, HTML)

  • Demonstrated high level of expertise usingvideo and audio production software

  • Creative writing skills preferred, but notnecessary

  • Knowledge of trends influencing design in general, and the athleticindustry specifically

  • Ability to juggle multiple projects anddeadlines while maintaining keen attention to detail

  • A strong passion for branding and visualstorytelling

  • Ability to clearly articulate goals andobjectives

  • Tolerance for ambiguity, strong prioritizationskills, and the ability to work well with a large variety of personalities atall levels of business
