Description

As the North America Marketplace Order to Cash (O2C) Consumer Direct Offense (CDO) Accounting Manager, for NIKE North America Controlling, you will drive influential and collaborative relationships with cross-functional business partners to deliver informed business decisions, process excellence, optimized financial control and financial statement accuracy related to North America revenue and Receivables. In this role you will report directly to the North America Order to Cash Director.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support accountingprocesses and effective internal controls around the tracking andaccounting for CDO concepts, including the treatment of revenuerecognition and related other accounting implications associated withNike’s CDO in accordance with US GAAP and NIKE Global Accounting Policiesand Processes;

  • Partnering with business development, legal, technology,digital and wholesale sales teams to understand new CDO opportunities and developingan engagement plan for ongoing communications

  • Partner withfinance planning and other business counterparts to understand financialstatement impact of CDO opportunities, forecast growth of CDO concepts andprovide informed business decisions to enable the execution of CDOinitiatives;

  • Play a key role incommunicating with the global O2C team to inform on CDO developments andtimelines

  • Evaluatepotential new and changing customer arrangements as a result of CDOconcepts for proper revenue recognition in accordance with US GAAP andNIKE Global Accounting Policies;

  • Researchand write technical revenue accounting memos that provide analyses andconclusions related to various complex accounting issues;

  • Performtechnical research on revenue recognition and/or other complex accountingissues, and provide accounting consultation advice to business partners;

  • Continuouslycommunicate the expected impact of the new CDO arrangements to keystakeholders;

  • Developand implement accounting policies, procedures and controls related to thenew CDO arrangements

  • Staycurrent on new revenue accounting rules and help develop appropriatepolicies and processes;

  • Work closely with NIKE Global compliance to manage anyInternal, External Audit and SOX compliance work related to revenue forCDO concepts

Qualifications

  • Bachelor'sdegree in Accounting or Finance

  • Retailand/or wholesale revenue experience is strongly preferred

  • 5+ Publicaccounting experience & Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is required

  • Strongenthusiasm and passion for the NIKE brand

  • Experiencewith a Fortune 500/multinational consumer products company is stronglypreferred

  • Proven peoplemanagement experience;

  • Exposure toERP accounting and finance systems such as SAP or Oracle is strongly preferred;

  • Excellentverbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicatestatus, issues, risks and opportunities with senior leadership team;

  • Provenability to communicate complex and/or controversial topics and concepts to awide and diverse audience, including meeting facilitation and presentations

  • Provenability to develop high profile, influential and collaborative relationshipsacross teams, functions and layers, preferably inclusive of navigating a largecorporation;

  • Transformative,process oriented and forward thinking mindset.

Qualifications
