Description

The Global Business Continuity Team protects Nike’s competitive advantage by proactively planning for natural hazards, man-made threats, and impacts to day-to-day business. Spanning the world, Business Continuity is composed of the Nike Intelligence Center, Employee Health and Safety, Business Recovery and Regional Business Continuity Directors.

In the role of WHQ Business Continuity Manager, you will manage and/or support all elements of the Business Continuity Strategy. You will liaise with Global and Regional teams across various disciplines to develop and maintain Business Recovery plans aligned with the existing programs and strategies. Your primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: conducting business impact analysis, developing and maintaining business recovery plans, the creation and maintenance of WHQ Business Continuity Programs, managing regular Business Continuity operational elements, and the support of emergency response and incident management.

The successful candidate will be a seasoned professional with a proven track record of achieving results within complex environments. This candidate will be strategic in their approach to the work, ensuring expected outcomes are realized, and do so with a strong bias toward action.

This role reports to the WHQ Business Continuity Director and supports the entirety of Nike World Headquarters and U.S. based manufacturing locations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, test and refine business recovery strategies in partnership with the business function and the business recovery team.

  • Execute/support the facilitation of the Business Impact Analysis Program across WHQ

  • Support the response to, and management of, disruptive incidents in-line with existing programs and process.

  • Develop/enhance Business Continuity programs ensuring premium presentation, uniform understanding and effectiveness.

  • Engage in the development and completion of Strategic projects critical to the long-term success and effectiveness of the WHQ Business Continuity Strategy.

  • Manage operational elements including, but not limited to, budgets, assets, emergency supplies and equipment, contact and distribution lists, agency memberships, etc.

  • Continuously develop data driven story telling through the identification, reporting and analysis of Key Performance Indicators

  • Drive awareness and understanding of WHQ Business Continuity strategies through the creation of socialization/awareness presentations to be presented across Nike World Headquarters

  • Create strong relationships with stakeholders to proactively seek process improvement and foster end-user adoption

Qualifications

  • B.S. or B.A. degree or equivalent required; Master’s degree preferred

  • 3 + years’ experience managing, developing, and executing Business Continuity strategies (or similar risk-based specialty) conducting business impact analysis, and documenting effective recovery/mitigation strategies preferred

  • 5 + years managing cross-functional program and/or complex, enterprise projects

  • 5 + years of experience with Business technology applications; Fusion Framework (Salesforce), Tableau, preferred

  • Proficient in core technology applications; Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint/Keynote, required; Experience with SharePoint, Asana, Tableau, and Salesforce preferred

  • Effective written, oral and presentation communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels of leadership
