Description

As an APLA Category Finance Manager, you will be a key business partner for the Category GM and cross-functional leadership team. You'll also partner and collaborate across Global Category Finance and Territory Product/Margin Planner to drive and influence the business. You will help develop strategies and lead analyses that aid in the decision-making process and increased profitability for the Category. Specifically, you will lead 3-year Corporate Strategic Plan (CSR), next year plan through Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Budget as well as partner with the broader Revenue and Margin Management organization to drive opportunities for revenue growth and margin performance through Category Game Plan. You will also manage and may conduct the preparation of timely and insightful financial analysis to determine progress against strategic plan, budget and forecast, and to ensure the integrity of the financial statements. You'll also actively interpret and review financial and operational results with business managers, including marketplace trends/issues and opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor'sdegree, preferably in a Business-related field with an emphasis on Financeand/or Accounting, an advanced degree may be acceptable in lieu of 1 year ofexperience

  • 7years' extensive experience in financial analysis, financial/strategicplanning, accounting and/or budgeting

  • AnMBA (with a concentration on Finance, Economics, Business Administration or arelated field), CMA or CPA is preferred

  • Strongknowledge of strategic planning, budgeting, investment analysis and economicprofit analysis and knowledge of GAAP is strongly preferred

  • Experiencewith a Fortune 500/multinational consumer products company is preferred

  • Excellentverbal and written communication skills, including meeting facilitation andpresentations

  • Strongability to communicate complex and/or controversial topics and concepts to awide and diverse audience

  • Strongability to develop high profile, influential and collaborative relationshipsacross teams, functions and layers

  • Excellentunderstanding and application of managerial concepts and techniques in areassuch as innovation, inspiration, employee development, coaching and engagement

  • Abilityto pass a 5-year background check
