As our Expert Database Architect, you will provide technical leadership over database architecture and emerging technology, engineering and technical support for data management, data models, and integration of large transactional and reporting data environments. Technical leadership and guidance of large data environments over complex cloud infrastructure, integration hubs, and ETL environments is crucial to the success of the team. You will also be expected to lead the necessary automation efforts needed to help the DB operations team. Additionally, we’ll look for your experience to understand our technical data security options and participate in vendor technical road mapping.
Bachelors Degree with minimum 15 years directly relevant work experience
8+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA with an in-depth knowledge of Oracle’s architecture supporting different versions of Oracle databases
2+ years of experience working as a lead and managing team of Sr. DBA
4+ years of database provisioning /RAC provisioning and operations experience
Experience with automating Oracle/RAC installations
Experience with automating the Operational requirements
Expert level skills in order to tune complex applications and critical database environments with direct experience with database applications.
Proficiency in establishing best practice instance monitoring and event notification to track activity and utilization
Experience evaluating, testing, implementing, and operationalizing database technology’s 3rd party tools to meet business requirements
Developing, managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting production, development, and testing databases/data models that support worldwide n-tier applications and be responsible for data consistency and integrity
Handling database installation and automation including configuration, tuning and database backup and recovery to meet the business requirements
Create and maintain roadmap for our database infrastructure
Designing processes and procedures for the management and maintenance of Database systems
Use DBA tools to perform capacity planning and long term growth projections
Working knowledge of various operating systems including Windows and Linux
In-Depth knowledge of database technology, Cloud Architecture, and High Availability Clustered solutions that interact seamlessly with other platforms using links and replication products
Able to solve complex problems; take a new perspective using existing solutions when applicable
Leading and mentoring colleagues with less experience; directing the work of other staff members
Experience explaining difficult issues to key stakeholders and working to build consensus
Experiencing using a wide range of SQL Databases: MS SQL, Oracle
Experience with at least one scripting language, including Perl, Python, Ruby or others
Nice to have: Experience with NoSQL databases and cloud infrastructure
