Nike Supply Chain experts ensure that every year 900 million pieces of footwear, apparel and equipment arrive at the right destination on time. That’s no easy task. The complex process involves more than 50 distribution centers, a network of thousands of accounts, and more than 100,000 retail stores around the world. Supply Chain professionals from Laakdal, Belgium, to São Paulo, Brasil, make it happen. They constantly push for ways to make Nike’s supply chain faster, more efficient and more responsive to Nike’s always-changing consumer needs.


Core Accountabilities

  • Represent Trading Co. in product delivery (Transportation/insurance/Logistic) work. Plans, develops, collaborate and implement programs/projects relating to transaction terms and contracts, security and compliance for movement of products from manufacturing sites to plan destinations.

  • Understand business requirements in the Buy/Sell product delivery segment, recommends process and service improvements. Act as and facilitate SME discussions with Global/Geo Logistic process leaders and/or across business functions.

  • Contributes to the development of functional strategy and leads project teams to achieve milestones and objectives.

  • Responsible for actions and managing risk that have shared or moderate business impact

  • Participate in project management for new and existing services supporting the ILM (inbound Logistic Management) program

  • Continuously drive process compliance monitors. Lead and manage centralize compliance processes from Trading Co.

  • Contribute to strategic planning of national and international movement of goods, service policy

  • Hire, develop and lead a small team

Requirements of the position include:

  • Bachelor’s or advance degree in supply chain discipline or related experience

  • 8 + years of logistics experience, developing logistics strategies and driving LSP process excellence

  • Applied understanding of project/transition/change management concepts, models and best practices

  • Experience in lean/process excellence methodologies preferred

  • Experience in running cross-functional collaboration projects and assignments

  • Able to work comfortably up, down and across organization using communication skills to drive results

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Facilitation and influencing skills are important

  • Cross cultural awareness of business protocols and practices

  • Team leadership and coaching skills

  • Travel 20%
