Sr. Director, Global Tax and Controversy, Senior Tax Counsel

Nike’s Tax Team is an innovative and strategic expert function whose mission is to create, optimize, and protect tax value in support of Nike’s finance, business, and shareholder objectives. Key Responsibilities

As a leader in the Global Tax function, you’ll be responsible for tax matters outside the United States. This includes leading a global team with locations in Singapore, China, Korea, Netherlands, Belgium, Mexico, and the United States. You will work closely with our Geography CFO’s and Controllers on business developments and tax risks, and the management of foreign controversy to ensure global oversight and defense. Additionally, you will play an integral role in providing tax counsel to the local tax function. Specific responsibilities for this role include:

• Sets the strategy / direction for global tax, global controversy and global legislative landscape.

• Assesses the short- and long-term tax environment, partners with the Sr. Director of International Tax on foreign implications and foreign execution of international tax strategies.

• Enables short- and long-term foreign tax strategies that mitigate risk while driving profitability.

• Delivers legal advice and counsel for all current and future tax strategies and opportunities.

• Leads a global tax team with the capabilities to activate a global tax strategy.

Qualifications Qualifications

• Minimum of 12+ years of Corporate Tax experiences.

• Law degree required.

• Big 4 public accounting, global and/or consumer products Corporations experience preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to effectively lead a global tax team across multiple geographies.

• Strong knowledge of global operations and international tax laws.

• Demonstrated ability to provide legal advice and counsel on tax strategies.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or other strategic financial management required
