EXTERNAL REPORTING MANAGER

As the External Reporting Manager, you’ll play anintegral role in all aspects of NIKE’s external financial reporting process.Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate and oversee the preparation of NIKE’squarterly and annual SEC filings

  • Partner with Investor Relations to validate andprepare quarterly earnings release information in accordance with US GAAP andSEC regulations

  • Coordinate external reporting activities anddeliverables with a diverse leadership group across the entire NIKE financeorganization

  • Partner with Global Accounting and the TechnicalAccounting and Policy team to determine appropriate disclosures for variousaccounting matters

  • Prepare materials for NIKE’s disclosure and auditcommittees

  • Oversee the external reporting team, includingprofessional and career development

  • Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley forinternal controls over external financial reporting

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

  • CPA required

  • 6+ years' experience in Big 4 public accountingfirm; additional experience working in a large multinational, publicly-heldcompany is highly preferred

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;ability to effectively communicate status, issues, risks and opportunities withleadership team

  • Extremely high standards forquality and attention to detail

  • Proven ability to communicate complex and/orcontroversial topics and concepts to a wide and diverse audience, includingmeeting facilitation and presentations

  • Ability to develop influential and collaborativerelationships across teams, functions and layers, preferably inclusive ofnavigating a large corporation

  • Proven experience in managing teams with an interest in careerdevelopment

  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and accountingprinciples, with proven ability to identify, research and resolve accountingand disclosure matters

  • Strong project management and organizationalskills with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

  • Proficiency with Excel, Outlook and Word
