In this role of Product Insights Manager London-Berlin you will provide to the Global Product Team as well as to the Geo Merchandising Teams appropriate, relevant, well-grounded Marketplace, Consumer and primarily Product information from the assigned territories with a special focus on Geo Key Cities. The objective of this product Insights role is to become the eyes of the Global Product team in the European marketplace and influence the Product Creation process by providing a sharp local point of view, based on an ongoing Competition analysis, observation of the Converse Trailblazer and Connoisseur consumer, and analysis of the existing product ranges, both from direct and not-so obvious competition. Simultaneously the Product Insights role will make sure information is communicated to the Geo Merchandising teams on a regular basis, feeding into the Marketplace Insights process and influencing the Western Europe adoption.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Seek out & serve up relevant, well-grounded marketplace, consumer and product insights to Global Product

  • Influence Global Product Creation process by providing a clear, sharp point of view on Geo / Territory / Key City product relevance

  • Adhere to the product process calendar to ensure information is provided taking into account all critical milestones.

  • Provide marketplace insights into the Marketplace Capacity & Insights Merchandising process

  • Lead the consumer and trend insight process. Establish the link to the business and serve up relevant, actionable opportunities to Geo Merchandising

  • Provide input regularly to Geo Merchandising to ensure line adoption is well-informed

  • Provide input regularly to Geo Incubate Merchandising with a sharp focus on the Converse Trailblazer consumer in Western Europe Key Cities

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years progressively responsible experience in merchandising, retail or commercial/ product creation function

  • Extensive experience from working in the Footwear industry

  • Excellent knowledge of the UK market place/ retail landscape

  • Strong analytical acumen

  • Experience in connecting observations of trends in product and consumer needs and translation of those into actionable business opportunities

  • Strong networking and influencing skills
