  • Responsible for achieving sales and profit objectives for a merchandise category by providing support to Planning Manager in conjunction with merchandising team.

  • Develop pre-season merchandise financial plans at the department/sub-department level based on company & concept strategy, market trends, and promotional activity.

  • Partner with Merchandising to develop seasonal assortment, style-level, and product flow plans through quarterly investment review.

  • Manage in-season inventory through monthly open-to-buy meetings and provide recommendations to maximize inventory.

  • Forecast monthly core ladders to ensure product meets expected sales, margin, and inventory targets.

  • Oversee promotional calendar and markdown cadence by managing execution and communication to stores.

  • Analyze and report on the business weekly to provide concise updates and facilitate go-forward actions.


  • Minimum 1 year experience in merchandising or planning position.

  • Strong retail math acumen, including elements of margin planning and inventory productivity measures.

  • Ability to research and analyze large amounts of data, draw sound conclusions, and make formal recommendations.

  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and to coordinate cross-functional efforts.

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel.

  • Excellent listening, oral, and written communication skills.
