Description

Reporting to the Director of Finance, North America Direct to Consumer Business, the Manager of Finance, North America Retail Stores will lead financial planning and analysis of Converse owned retail stores.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and drives achievement ofshort-term goals critical to the company’s success.

  • Oversees business unit planning,budgeting, performance targets, and policy development.

  • Participates in cross-functionaldiscussions and initiatives and utilizes internal and/or external partnerships toleverage resources and enhance business group effectiveness.

  • Work with teams to establish keymeasures and business strategies while continuing to refine Converse Store’s long-termfinancial model

  • Manage the preparation of timely andinsightful financial analysis to determine progress against both long andshort-term strategic plans

  • Drive and measure forecast accuracy andset financial goals across the entire store fleet, and works closely with regionaloperational teams to ensure each are tracking

  • Partner with Controllership to helpensure integrity of financial statements

  • Actively interpret and review financialresults with senior leaders, including trends/issues and opportunities, todrive actionable responses

  • Ensure business leaders are educatedon use and interpretation of financial reports, metrics, and other key performanceindicators

  • Oversee and/or lead analysis thataids in the decision making process and helps drive increased profitability forConverse Stores

  • Partner across functionally to alignon initiatives and projects, and be the “voice of finance” in meetings

Key Deliverables:

  • Monthly and Quarterly business reviews

  • Annual Operating Plan and Strategic Three Year Plan

  • Lead, consolidate, and communicate all financial metrics andOperational KPI creation

  • New/Remodel/Conversion/Closure and other investments reviewand support

  • Fleet Review

  • Annual guardrail update

  • Other Ad-hoc projects

Qualifications

  • Advanceddegree (MBA, CMA or CPA) preferred with 5-7 years relevant work experience

  • Retail storefinance strongly preferred

  • History of providing leadership toprofessional staff

  • Experience owning the accountabilityfor performance and results of multiple business units

  • Process and detail-oriented with the ability tothink holistically and strategically about a business

  • Excellent oral/written communication skills

  • Proven problem solving and analytical abilities

  • Capable of working cross functionally with teamsand commit to deadlines, fostering a positive work environment

  • Proficiency in Excel and Powerpoint

  • Knowledge and use of SAP and Business Objectspreferred
