They manage accounting and reporting for Nike’s multi-billion-dollar global investment portfolio, debt and equity instruments, and other Treasury activities. As a Nike Manager, Tax Accounting and Reporting you will be a key member of the Income Tax Accounting Team, assisting with the preparation and review of Nike's world-wide income tax provision in accordance with ASC 740. Your responsibilities will include managing the record to report process for income tax accounts in the financial statements; preparing computations and deliverables supporting the tax accounts, including statement of cash flows, deferred tax asset and payable reconciliations, and journal entries; extracting and analyzing data from SAP accounting system; managing the substantive audit performed by external financial statement auditors; managing reporting and disclosures in Nike’s Forms 10-Q and 10-K; and working closely with other functions across Finance.
A high degree of accuracy and proven ability to meet deadlines in a time sensitive environment is required. You must be able to successfully manage priorities, coordinate complex projects, and develop and implement solutions to difficult problems.
You will demonstrate leadership in motivating employees and building team spirit and consensus. Bachelor's degree in Business or related field, with anemphasis in Accounting required
CPA and/or Advanced Degree preferred
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in corporate taxation in alarge corporate and/or public accounting environment
Experience with ASC 740 reporting
Demonstrable experience in federal corporate tax lawincluding filing large consolidated federal income tax returns
Excellent accounting skills with specific knowledge ofequity method consolidation accounting
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Outstanding project management skills
Advanced computer skills including experience with MicrosoftExcel, Word, and Outlook is required
Experience with accounting and tax preparation softwareincluding SAP and Corptax is preferred
Prior supervisory experience is desired
Self-starter and diligent problem solver
Comfortable leading meetings for large groups
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively manageinternal and external clients
Ability to plan and organize work for self and others
Ability to think critically in tight deadlines
