We are looking for a strong, technical leader to deliver data and platform solutions for Next Generation Analytics Platform

As our Engineering Director, you will lead a team of engineers to build amazing data products.

Next Generation Analytics platform has seen exponential growth here at Nike. The scale and capability of big data in cloud has opened up countless possibilities to turn data into insights and the demand for Analytics at Nike Digital is ever growing.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute on Nike’s vision for Next Generation Analytics Platform

  • Coach and guide engineering teams through agile delivery of quality data products

  • Embrace and influence a culture of Automation, Dev Ops and Continuous Delivery

  • Collaborate with business partners on feature delivery and refactoring

  • Build a culture of innovation and continuous improvement by staying up on technology trends

  • Proactively manage communication across Nike leadership

Qualifications

What we're looking for:

  • MS/BS in Computer Science or related field

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in large-scale software development with emphasis on data analytics and high volume data processing

  • 5+ years of experience motivating and leading software engineers

  • Strong skills to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization,

  • Experience with cloud deployments, specifically AWS and big data

  • Experience with streaming technology like Kafka and Kinesis

  • Experience with Relational and No SQL databases and scripting languages such as Shell and Python

  • Experience managing budgets and resources

  • Ability to pass a 7 year background investigation
